A little over a year ago, Outstanding Foods released their line of Pig Out Bacon Chips, and I’m hooked on the vegan cheddar flavor (check out my review). The bacon chips are mushroom based, and now they’ve released a line of vegan pork rinds that have a base of rice and pea protein.

They come in single serving one ounce bags, and they’re labeled non-GMO, kosher, gluten-free, soy-free, and vegan.
I’ll cut to the chase.
I don’t really like them.
Because they’re using rice, I feel like I’m eating a flavored rice cake. Bleh.

The Hella Hot flavor has a great kick, but the other flavors are just ok. Personally, I’d rather have Snacklins or Beanfields. I wish I could say more, but that pretty much covers it. Flavored rice cakes. The end.
Of course, feel free to try them for yourself because you might enjoy them. I’ll stick to the bacon chips.

Best review ever! Lol πβΊοΈπβ
Haha, thanks! ;-P
Agree with Caroline, straight to the point! Thanks! Texture is a huge thing I miss with pork rinds, so knowing it’s just basically rice cakes helps a lot lol.
Happy to help! I’ve been really happy with the Beanfields vegan cracklins, so I hope you can try those. π
I just received my 4 variety pack and honestly, Iβd rather have a small amount of the real pork rinds than a whole lot of porkless pork rinds! They have a sweetness to them and they werenβt what I expected!
Will NEVER again…….PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
