Dulceria Bakery in Minneapolis

2/22/2020: I am sad to share that Dulceria Bakery has closed.

For the past couple years, the Linden Hills Farmers Market has teamed up with Twin Cities Veg Fest one weekend each summer for Veg-End to provide a sneak peek of some Veg Fest vendors. This is where I first met Dulce of Dulceria Bakery. Though she wasn’t going to be participating in Veg Fest, her sign touted vegan options, and this is where I had my first Alegria. These are made with dark chocolate, berries, and amaranth seeds. They’re vegan and gluten-free and delicious.

I was hooked instantly.

So I went back the following weekend and tried one of the Concha Cupcakes. Fluffy and only slightly sweet, these are the perfect sugar fix. Dulce made Matcha Concha Cupcakes for St. Patrick’s Day and again, heaven.

Over the holidays I had a vegan and gluten-free Chocolate Berries Tart which has a shortbread crust, and it’s delectable as it looks and sounds. Since then, I’ve learned that Dulce is social justice-minded and that she values inclusiveness. She’s originally from Mexico, and I love that she finds ways to blend her heritage with her Minnesota life between what she creates and who she supports.

Now for the best part: after having many sold out pop ups around town, Dulce has opened a bakery in south Minneapolis! I promise this isn’t a sponsored post in any way, shape, or form. I’ve genuinely enjoyed getting to know Dulce, and we’re lucky to have her and her business in our community. Follow her on social media to keep an eye on current hours for the bakery.
