Dinner at J. Selby's

J. Selby's was broken into during the past weekend, and their safe was stolen. One of their doors has to be boarded up while they wait for a custom piece of glass to be remade. Stories like this make me sad because while yes, they have insurance, something like this isn't easy on a small business. And if someone was so desperate for money that they would break into a business, hopefully whatever they got will help them however it's needed.

To show support, I headed there for dinner and went for the full gamut 3-course dinner. I can't remember the last time I had the Buffalo Wings, which feels blasphemous to say because they're always amazing. I love the Asian Chili sauce, but the Buffalo sauce will always have my heart.

BBQ Bacon Burger, the Burger of the Week at J. Selby's

The Burger of the Week was the BBQ Bacun Burger with a Field Roast patty, tempeh bacun, fried onions, and bbq sauce. It could have used a little more sauce, but that's true for most things in life.

vegan soyclone with chocolate chips

I rounded out the meal with a Chocolate and Peanut Butter SoyClone. It was packed with chocolate chips, so I'm glad the peanut butter was mixed with vanilla ice cream or it would have been chocolate overload. Don't get me wrong, I love my chocolate, but I also like balance.

I also couldn't resist getting a Pecan Bar to go. They were on a plate right by the register, calling my name, and I have no regrets.

And there you have it. A delicious and satisfying 3-course meal.
