Vegan Options at Pizza Karma

Pizza Karma's build your own vegan pizza with potato chile crust, harissa sauce, roasted garlic, and spiced chickpeas and corn

Pizza Karma is in Eden Prairie not far from Eden Prairie Center. They offer Indian inspired, tandoor-fired pizza with several marked vegan and gluten-free options. Vegan items are marked with a green V+ and gluten-free items are marked with a brown GF. The menu includes starters, salads, and signature pizzas.

I chose to build my own pizza, which you can see above. I selected the potato chile crust which was spicy, so next time I'll try the plain gluten-free crust. I wish the garlic cilantro crust was vegan because I would love to try it.

The two vegan sauces are North African harissa and coconut milk with curry leaves. The harissa is also spicy, so I downed a lot of water while I ate. I enjoyed the mix of flavors but they are not messing around! While I wish they used a better vegan cheese than Daiya, they don't overdo it.

My toppings were perfect: roasted garlic with spiced garbanzo beans and corn. They also offer bell peppers, squash, potatoes, beets, and more. Below you'll see my friend's pizza with tofu and wild mushrooms.

We also ordered the Potato Cakes which are chile spinach stuffed inside soft, fried potato cakes. They're accompanied by golden raisin ginger sauce. Also spicy. It was one of those things where at first I thought it might just be temperature hot and not spicy hot, but by the time they had definitely cooled down, they were still spicy hot. I don't have a super high heat tolerance, but I'd say I'm above the average Minnesotan, and I would not get these again. If they were more mild, I'd get them every time.

I'm happy to have Pizza Karma operating with its own take on fast casual pizza (click here for my Vegan Pizza in the Twin Cities post) . I also like that they don't shy away from heat, and I know many people who will appreciate them for it.

Their plates, cutlery, napkins, and cups are all compostable which is a huge bonus. The space is bright, airy, and clean. If you find yourself in Eden Prairie, Pizza Karma is worth a visit. Crave and Pizza Luce are also nearby, but Pizza Karma is fast and more cost effective.
