Cheeze Factory in Baraboo, WI

After 25 years in Wisconsin Dells, the Cheeze Factory Restaurant relocated to Baraboo, WI in December 2017. I had visited the former space once and enjoyed a meal, and I didn't even realize they had moved until my GPS brought me to the new space. It's cute and bright, and I want to do this in my home:

It's tough to tell but the lights are clouds. We had plans to also hit up Pig Minds Brewing on the way to Chicago, so we had to choose our small meal wisely. The Fisch Sandwich has two fishless filets (I think they're Gardein) with lettuce, tomato, red onions, and tartar sauce. We went with the side salad, and it's probably one of the most colorful meals I've had in awhile. It was also delicious!

The filets were perfectly fried, not too oily and with a nice crispy outside. All of the veggies were vibrant and fresh, and the ciabatta bread was just the right thickness.

Dessert is a must at Cheeze Factory, and you'll want to take a moment to see what's available in their rotating dessert case, in addition to reading the descriptions on the menu. The Chocolate Espresso Cashew Dream Cheezecake jumped out at me on the menu, and seeing it in the case finalized my decision. I didn't get much espresso flavor from it, but it's not too dense or sweet and I loved it.

This was a delightful visit to the Cheeze Factory and well worth the small detour off the highway. The service was quick and friendly, and the food came out in a timely fashion. In browsing the website, you'll see that there's a religious aspect to the establishment but I haven't felt this come into play either time I've been there. They have tons of options, so there's something for everyone.
